Susan Ball: a past project of ours
From roughly 2015 through 2021, susanball.ca ran as a coaching site aimed at women rebuilding after toxic or abusive relationships. The branding shifted a few times over that stretch, which is fairly normal for a site that grew and refocused over six years. It opened in 2015 as a general life coaching page, rebranded as "Women's Freedom Coach" by 2018, and settled into its final identity, "Abuse Recovery Coach," in its later years.
Most of the writing lived under a blog that eventually settled on the name Empowered Her, after starting out at a "couragegrace" address and passing through a "freefromtoxiclove" one along the way. The posts leaned practical: self-esteem, boundary-setting, and spotting manipulation early. A few titles that stuck around for years: "Love Bombing: The Power and the Sorrow," "Does Low Self-Esteem Attract Abusive Narcissists?," and "3 Skills to Master Co-Parenting with a Narcissist."
Around the blog sat a fairly full program: a boundaries course, a coaching track called Heal and Thrive, a podcast, a small books section, free introductory sessions, a paid annual membership, and a modest shop. For a while there was also a yearly event, the Healing Narcissistic Trauma Conference. Between the blog, the courses, and the conference, it added up to more than the average small coaching site, even if none of it ran at a large scale.
The site ran on WordPress for most of its life. Around 2021 it moved over to a course platform called New Zenler, and not long after that a "Coming Soon" placeholder went up and never came down. New posts stopped, the programs quietly closed, and the domain drifted out of use.
We tend to hold onto domains rather than let them lapse, which is how susanball.ca ended up pointing here instead. Our current focus is Buffalo Prime X-Unlock, and that's where the work continues now. If an old link brought you here looking for the Susan Ball site, you can find what we're doing today on the Buffalo Prime X-Unlock homepage.
